Mascot Metal Roofing are specialist contractors in the installation of metal roofing & Cladding, Offering the latest material finishes - West Sussex, Sussex, Surrey, Kent, London, & More
Metal roofing is made up from layers of material that create a hard shell for the outside of your property, on roof and walls, that will protect the building against harsh weather conditions. For domestic house cladding, you can choose from a range of different materials that all have given different finishing looks, such as zinc roofing, Plx, copper, stainless steel or aluminium, in a variety of styles including standing seas, interlocking panels, shingles, reveal panels, overlapping panels, flat lock panels and many more.
Metal Roofing standing seam has fast become extremely popular, lasting 2-3 times longer than a non-metal roof, virtually maintenance free and resistant to cracking, shrinking and eroding.
We install zinc, aluminium, copper and stainless steel in the Sussex area – Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Horsham, Brighton as well as Kent, Surrey and South London. & Even Further afield
Mascot Metals are based in Bolney, West Sussex and mainly work throughout Sussex, Kent, Surrey and parts of London.
Standing Seam Roofing & Zinc Roofing & Cladding
The Standing Seam system is considered to be one of the most traditional metal roof covering techniques still in use today.
Facias & Soffits
Systems are designed to suit each individual project and each system is unique. All systems are available in a variety of finishes.
Cold Vented Roof Metal Roofs
Roofs with a pitch from 3° to vertical, both renovation and new buildings. Continuous ventilation openings are made at the top and bottom of the roof.
Warm Roof Vented Metal Roofs
Warm roof system, standing seam can be installed on rigid insulation without ventilating the underside. Fixed through to the deck with special fixing clips and screws.
Dormer & Loft Conversion Metal Cladding
Metal cladding for Dormers and Loft Conversion provide a more lighter & durable option. There are a wide variety of colour finishes available.
Bespoke rainwater and drainage systems
We are able to design, supply and install bespoke rainwater systems for specific design project requirements.
Zinc
Zinc is an excellent roofing and cladding material which will give long and almost maintenance-free service. Proper installation means not only the correct fixing of the zinc itself, but also the correct design and installation of the supporting structure. It now has numerous applications worldwide with over 30% of the global zinc supply coming from re-cycled zinc.
The main uses of rolled zinc sheet and strip is for roofing, cladding, flashings, and rainwater disposal. Zinc is becoming a common sight on many new projects, with its long life and minimal maintenance, allied to its versatility and cost effectiveness, it is a very viable product.
Zinc valleys and box guttering are lighter than lead, and more versatile. They are available in longer continuous lengths.
VM Zinc
VM Zinc are part of the Umicore group and manufacture Zinc sheet and coils to EN988. They produce natural and pre-weathered materials in various finishes. Samples are available on request.
They also produce a ‘zinc plus’ material which has added underside protection.
Rheinzink
Rheinzink are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Zinc products in both sheet and coil for the construction industry. Based in Germany they export worldwide.
Elzinc
Established in 2006, elZinc brand, has become one of the world´s main producers of rolled zinc for architectural metal cladding.
The use of the latest technologies in casting, rolling, slitting and cutting coupled with the implementation of the most rigorous quality control protocols, allows elZinc to better the tolerances established in the current European and American standards, namely EN988 and ASTM B-69.
Copper
Like Zinc, Copper has been used for a Centuries, its longevity is remarkable with examples of original copper roofs still to be found on medieval buildings around Europe.
The natural copper colour, when used externally, gradually forms a patina turning to brown and eventually to the green finish. Examples can be seen on many domes in cities all over the world. These colours are now available from new, due to an accelerated weathering process which replicates the natural patination process.
Aurubis
Aurubis manufacture an array of different copper products, available in sheet and coil, with a range of ‘Nordic’ finishes which include brown, blue, and green. The green finish is specially produced to provide the globally recognised hue which normally occurs over a period of years in the natural environment when copper oxidises through shades of brown, eventually turning green. The product is available in coil form so is perfect for standing seam roofing. Other finishes including brass, bronze, and ‘Nordic Royal’ which is a gold colour, can also be produced. Samples and literature available on request.
KME – TECU® Copper Roofing
TECU® Classic sheet and coil starts off with a bright and shiny copper surface. After installation, it develops a matt, dark brown surface due to natural weathering and oxidation. During initial weathering, before the dark brown oxidised layer is established on the copper’s surface, a range of brown shades and even purplish hues can develop. On inclined cladding areas, the oxide layers are transformed by more intensive reaction to airborne substances and moisture, and coloured alkaline copper compounds form. A ‘typical copper’ patina green develops over time. This lends the building an unmistakeable accent, and the protective nature of the patina layer contributes to the material’s outstanding longevity.
Aluminium
Aluminium roof sheets incredibly light in comparison to other roofing sheets and doesn’t add much weight to the overall building structure. Aluminium has the highest strength to weight ratio of any metal, even superior to steel. Aluminium is corrosion resistant, and unlike other metals, does not rust or corrode, even in highly industrial or corrosive environments.
Aluminium reflects the sun, meaning that in the summer the building will remain cool, despite increasing temperatures outside. It also helps maintain the heat inside the house in the winter, reducing heating costs and saving energy.
Falzonal®
Novelis® – Falzonal® coloured Aluminium, the numerous colours encompass virtually the whole spectrum.
FalZinc®
FalZinc The foldable Zinc coated Aluminium, is available in Grey, & Dark Grey for Roofing & cladding applications. Should a lighter variant be required then the Titan finish is produced.
Alu FX®
Alu Fx Timeless range of in-house colours in, Timeless Grey, Timeless Black. Timeless Semi-Oxid and vibrant Timeless Steel-oxide, Timeless Bronze & Timeless Copper.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel offers a freedom of creativity and design coupled with sustainability as the material is infinitely recyclable. It has excellent mechanical properties, is resistant to corrosion and fire, and offers ease of processing and installation. Ideally suited to building applications such as roofs, facades, and rainwater recovery systems. There are a wide range of grades and surface finishes to suit most applications and environments. The longevity of the product makes it cost effective over the long term and it is relatively maintenance free.
Greencoat®PLX
GreenCoat PLX, a high-quality coated steel is used to achieve a striking appearance. PLX can be installed using the same techniques as Zinc or Copper but at temperatures down to -15 C and is far less prone to the Zinc problems of underside corrosion, cracking and white rust. Sustainable oils such as Swedish rapeseed oil are used in the Bio-based technology production process which means that the steel is 100% recyclable, has a low energy impact.
Rainwater Goods
Rainwater systems in light gauge metal such as GreenCoat, copper, brass, bronze, zinc, stainless steel or precoated aluminium, are becoming ever more popular as stand alone systems or to compliment a traditional metal roofing finish.
Copper Gutters – Zinc Gutters – Stainless Steel Gutters – GreenLine® Gutters
Lindab Gutters & Downpipe
Lindab Gutters are a lightweight, durable guttering system which ensure decades of performance without rusting or leaking.
They are available in eleven distinct colours. Mixing and matching these is easy. Either discreetly complementing the overall colour scheme of the house, or boldly creating accents of colour.
As a special order it can be painted with a special powder coating in virtually any colour, with any finish.
Lindab’s steel rainwater system has proved itself to be the most environmentally friendly
material available, with a natural place in today’s approach to green sustainability
